From Monday 20 April, our drivers will no longer be able to give change on our buses.
Our priority right now is the safety of our customers and colleagues. There's no clear evidence right now linking coins and notes with the spread of Covid-19, but we're doing everything we can to reduce contact points and facilitate social distancing.
Wherever possible, you should pay with contactless, or buy your tickets in advance through our app. You can pay with your contactless bank or credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay on any of our buses - now up to a limit of £45.
To help you with this change, we'll be reducing the price of our 1 Day tickets from £5.20 to £5, and our South Manchester 1 Day ticket will reduce to £4. This means that all of our adult tickets available to buy on board will be rounded to the nearest pound or 50p.
We'll still be accepting cash, but you'll need the correct money. If you don't have the right money, we'll donate any surplus we receive directly to the Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity to assist with funding for homelessness through the coronavirus crisis.
